Meek Mill has shocked fans with his leaked lyrics that appear to refer to Kobe Bryant’s death.
Last night, February 17th, a Hip-hop fan account posted a snippet of one of Meek Mill’s upcoming songs. The song is a collaboration with Lil Baby and although the name is unconfirmed, Genius reports it as Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe).
Reportedly, the song first leaked in October of 2020, but fans have started to take notice following the tweet. The song on Twitter has since been removed, but it’s still available to listen to on YouTube under the song’s name.
The song is expected to be released officially soon. However the reaction from fans might just change that.

Meek Mill’s Kobe Bryant lyrics
Although only a snippet of the song is currently out, the lyrics in it have caused upset among Kobe fans.
In the song, he says:
“And if I ever lack I’m going out with my choppa, it be another Kobe.”
Lil Baby then goes onto rap:
“I damn near wanna have a son so I can name him Kobe.”
In the Hip-hop scene, a choppa can refer to a gun. However, fans have come to the conclusion that in this case, it’s a helicopter. In January of 2020, Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others died in a Calabasas helicopter crash.
