Rock Island's Breanna Beal named to McDonald's All American Game roster

Rock Island’s Breanna Beal was named to the East roster for the 18th annual McDonald’s All American Game.

McDonald’s announced the final team rosters Thursday.

Forty-eight high school seniors – comprising the top 24 boys and 24 girls in the country – were selected from over 800 nominated players by a committee of basketball experts and will play in the historic games on Wednesday, March 27, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Beal is set to attend the University of South Carolina next season.

The 18th Annual Girls Game precedes the Boys Game and will air live on ESPN2 at 4:00 p.m. CT.

Beal now ranks among an impressive list of notable basketball players who have also donned the McDonald’s All American jersey, including Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, James Harden, Candace Parker, Maya Moore, Elena Delle Donne, Skylar Diggins and Breanna Stewart.
