Nike warehouse in Memphis robbed in chaotic looting

A Nike warehouse in Memphis was reportedly robbed by two thieves on Friday, February 10, 2023. Stolen goods included 10-20 boxes of merchandise.

Sneakers are currently a hot commodity with their limited releases and exclusive collaborations with the world’s biggest celebrities. Nike has partnered up with the likes of Louis Vuitton, and Travis Scott.

Who could forget their reigning Air Jordan sneakers named after Michael Jordan?

A couple of shoe addicts took their love to the next level when they looted a Memphis warehouse home to several brands, including Nike. The robbery comes less than two weeks after the company announced its upcoming Tiffany & Co Air Force 1 release.

Footage of the robbery shows two individuals dressed in black with black masks load boxes of merchandise into the trunk of their white truck.

Employees attempted to intercept the situation, but one worker wearing a high-vis vest was thrown onto the floor.

Memphis police department says the theft occurred on Friday morning at 9:30am at Riverhouse Distribution on 4289 Concorde Road, writes Fox 13 Memphis.

The suspects reportedly cut the lock off the security fence at bay door number 3 and began tossing boxes of Nike goods into their vehicle. Officials claim about 10 to 20 boxes were stolen, but the exact value has not been disclosed.

One of the masked individuals allegedly pointed a silver revolver at a witness, urging him to back away before driving away from the scene.

According to Action News 5, police say the victim stated the individual saw him and pointed a silver revolver while telling him to step back before entering the truck and driving away from the scene.

This is the second Nike theft in five months

The break-in comes months after thieves stole $800K worth of Nike shoes and clothing in early September 2022.

Fox 13 reports that 20 trailers located near Lamar Avenue were raided by several suspects at midnight. The scene is just six minutes away from Riverhouse Distribution.

Surveillance cameras were located at the front of the facility, so were unable to capture the robbery. Footage of the aftermath shows countless brown boxes scattered around the trailers.
