Indies and a QuakeCon Sale
Today is the last day of QuakeCon 2021, running from August 18 to 21, but the up to 70% off sales for Skyrim, DOOM, and Wolfenstein games and DLCs are still ongoing on Nintendo’s digital storefront. Aside from ripping and tearing demons, draugrs, and dictators, a bunch of new indie games come to the handheld console as well. Puzzles, action titles, a driving simulator, you name it. Switch New Releases This Week
The headliner for this week is Hoa, a relaxing puzzle with breathtaking hand-painted art, lovely music, and a peaceful atmosphere. This is immediately followed by Arietta of Spirits, a charming pixel-art adventure game that kicks the story off when the titular main heroine gains the ability to see strange spirits while visiting her grandmother’s cabin for the first time after she passed away. Lastly, it’s the long-awaited RPG entry in the King’s Bounty franchise. King’s Bounty II adds an epic new story, factions, enemies, and features. In total, 28 new titles are coming out on eShop until next week:
