How to see your icloud calendar on android

If you live your life in both Android and iOS, you’ll have an easier time if you use Google services. Almost all of Google’s apps are present on iOS, but the same isn’t true if you want to use Apple’s services on Android. Case in point: There’s not a great way to sync your iCloud calendar to Android, but there’s an easy way to at least see your calendar.

If you’re still going to have one iOS device, one thing you can do is share your iCloud to Google Calendar. You won’t have complete control over each event, but it’ll give you the basics like the event title, time, and description.

The thing is, this can’t be done directly from Android. In order to have your iCloud calendar show up on Android, you’ll need to link it to Google Calendar on the web. Here’s how to do that.

Head to the iCloud webpage and sign in with your Apple ID. On the main page, select the “Calendar” option.

Click the Share icon next to the calendar you want to view from Google Calendar. In the pop-up window, select the “Public Calendar” check box and then click the “Copy Link” option beneath the URL.

Note: Anyone with the URL of your iCloud calendar—displayed on this page—will be able to see its contents.

Now, open Google Calendar. Click the plus sign on the left side and then click the “From URL” option.

Paste in the calendar URL from iCloud and then click the “Add Calendar” link.

Just because you’re a big fan of macOS doesn’t automatically mean you love every Apple device!

Before we begin….

Before jumping into this workaround, it’s important to realise there’s a reason why it’s called a “workaround.”

By following the instructions in this article, you’ll be able to add a read-only version of your iCloud Calendar to your Android device. While the read-only calendar can help you keep track of your schedule, you won’t be able to add, edit or delete events from your iCloud Calendar, directly from your Android device.

Even with this workaround in place, you’ll either need to manage your iCloud Calendar from an Apple device such as your Mac, or by logging into your iCloud account via Android’s mobile browser.

Link your Apple calendar to Google Calendar

You can add your iCloud Calendar to Google Calendar, using a URL:

• Head over to iCloud.com and sign in using your Apple ID.
• Once you’re logged in, select the “Calendar” option.
• In the left-hand menu, select the calendar that you want to view on your Android device, and then select its accompanying “Share calendar” icon (where the cursor is positioned in the following screenshot).

• Select the “Public Calendar” checkbox.
• Select “Copy Link.”

Once you have this URL, you can copy/paste it into your Google Calendar:

• Log into your Google Calendar.
• In Google Calendar’s left-hand menu, select the three-dotted icon (where the cursor is positioned in the following screenshot).

• In the dropdown menu that appears, select “New calendar.”
• Copy/paste the URL, into the “URL of calendar” field.
• Click “Add calendar.”

Accessing iCloud Calendar from Android

Grab your Android smartphone or tablet, and launch the Google Calendar app.

All of the events from your iCloud Calendar should now be displayed in your “regular” Google Calendar.

Accessing iCloud Photos on an Android

You can easily access your iCloud photos on Android by signing into your account from a mobile browser. Tap Photos, and you’ll see every image you’ve saved to iCloud.

Another option, if you still have your iPhone is to download Google Photos (there’s an iOS app) and sync all your photos there. Then they’ll be on your Android automatically.

Accessing iCloud Calendars and Contacts on an Android

Unfortunately, there’s no straightforward way to access your iCloud calendar or contacts on an Android. You’ll need an iPhone or iPad and computer to transfer the data.

On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings.

Tap your name.

Tap iCloud.

Toggle on Contacts and Calendars.

You might need to sign in to your iCloud account first if you’re not already.

On your computer, open a web browser, go to and log into your account.

Click the Calendar icon.

On the left pane, click the Share Calendar button next to the calendar that you want to export. In the popup window, select Public Calendar. Click Copy Link, then OK.

Open a new browser tab or window and paste the copied URL.

Change webcal at the beginning of the URL to http and press Enter. Doing so opens a Save File dialog box. Save the file in a folder of your choice. You can rename it too as long as you don’t edit the .ics extension.

Open and login to Google Calendar on your Web browser.

On the left pane of the Google Calendar interface, click the menu arrow at the right of Other Calendars. Click Import Calendar.

Select the exported calendar file that you downloaded from iCloud. You can also choose the destination Google calendar (if you have more than one) in the same dialog.

Click the Import button to upload the file.

Once importing is finished, you should be able to see the imported entries in the Google Calendar web interface and on your Android device.
