How to see your icloud calendar on android

If you live your life in both Android and iOS, you’ll have an easier time if you use Google services. Almost all of Google’s apps are present on iOS, but the same isn’t true if you want to use Apple’s services on Android. Case in point: There’s not a great way to sync your iCloud calendar to Android, but there’s an easy way to at least see your calendar.

If you’re still going to have one iOS device, one thing you can do is share your iCloud to Google Calendar. You won’t have complete control over each event, but it’ll give you the basics like the event title, time, and description.

The thing is, this can’t be done directly from Android. In order to have your iCloud calendar show up on Android, you’ll need to link it to Google Calendar on the web. Here’s how to do that.

Head to the iCloud webpage and sign in with your Apple ID. On the main page, select the “Calendar” option.

Click the Share icon next to the calendar you want to view from Google Calendar. In the pop-up window, select the “Public Calendar” check box and then click the “Copy Link” option beneath the URL.

Note: Anyone with the URL of your iCloud calendar—displayed on this page—will be able to see its contents.

Now, open Google Calendar. Click the plus sign on the left side and then click the “From URL” option.

Paste in the calendar URL from iCloud and then click the “Add Calendar” link.

Just because you’re a big fan of macOS doesn’t automatically mean you love every Apple device!

If you regularly switch between macOS and your Android smartphone or tablet, then you may have noticed that almost all of Google’s apps play nicely with macOS and iOS – but the reverse isn’t always true!

By default, you cannot view your iCloud Calendar in Google’s Calendar application, which can make things difficult if you’re an iCloud user who also happens to own an Android smartphone or tablet.

While you could access your iCloud Calendar via your mobile’s web browser, this feels clunky and awkward compared to using Android’s built-in Google Calendar app. Plus, having to access your calendar via the mobile web browser is incredibly frustrating when you already have a perfectly good calendar app that came pre-installed on your mobile device.

If you’re a dual Android/Apple user, then in this article I’ll make your life just that little bit easier, by sharing a workaround that allows you to add your iCloud Calendar(s) to Android’s Calendar app.

Before we begin….

Before jumping into this workaround, it’s important to realise there’s a reason why it’s called a “workaround.”

By following the instructions in this article, you’ll be able to add a read-only version of your iCloud Calendar to your Android device. While the read-only calendar can help you keep track of your schedule, you won’t be able to add, edit or delete events from your iCloud Calendar, directly from your Android device.

Even with this workaround in place, you’ll either need to manage your iCloud Calendar from an Apple device such as your Mac, or by logging into your iCloud account via Android’s mobile browser.

Link your Apple calendar to Google Calendar

You can add your iCloud Calendar to Google Calendar, using a URL:

  • Head over to iCloud.com and sign in using your Apple ID.
  • Once you’re logged in, select the “Calendar” option.
  • In the left-hand menu, select the calendar that you want to view on your Android device, and then select its accompanying “Share calendar” icon (where the cursor is positioned in the following screenshot).

How to see your icloud calendar on android

  • Select the “Public Calendar” checkbox.
  • Select “Copy Link.”

Once you have this URL, you can copy/paste it into your Google Calendar:

  • Log into your Google Calendar.
  • In Google Calendar’s left-hand menu, select the three-dotted icon (where the cursor is positioned in the following screenshot).

  • In the dropdown menu that appears, select “New calendar.”
  • Copy/paste the URL, into the “URL of calendar” field.
  • Click “Add calendar.”

Accessing iCloud Calendar from Android

Grab your Android smartphone or tablet, and launch the Google Calendar app.

All of the events from your iCloud Calendar should now be displayed in your “regular” Google Calendar.

What to Know

  • Access iCloud Photos: Sign into iCloud from any browser and tap Photos.
  • Access iCloud Email: Open Gmail app >Menu >Settings. Tap Add account >Other > enter iCloud login info.
  • Access iCloud Calendar/Contacts: You’ll need an iPhone or iPad, and a PC, to transfer data from iCloud to Android.

This article explains how to access iCloud photos, email, calendars, and contacts from an Android.

Accessing iCloud Photos on an Android

You can easily access your iCloud photos on Android by signing into your account from a mobile browser. Tap Photos, and you’ll see every image you’ve saved to iCloud.

You can also create iCloud links for sharing photos and videos, view albums, and see account settings.

Another option, if you still have your iPhone is to download Google Photos (there’s an iOS app) and sync all your photos there. Then they’ll be on your Android automatically.

If you opt to move your photos to the Google Photos using the app for iOS, keep in mind the upload might take a while (depending on the number of photos you have, of course).

Accessing iCloud Email

If you have an Apple email address, such as @mac, @me, or @icloud, you can access your messages in the iCloud inbox. On an Android smartphone, you can set this up using the Gmail app.

Open Gmail and tap the Menu button at the top-left.

Tap Settings.

Tap Add account > Other.

Enter your iCloud email address and tap Next.

Then input your password and tap Next.

Gmail then finishes the process, and then you can access your iCloud inbox.

Accessing iCloud Calendars and Contacts on an Android

Unfortunately, there’s no straightforward way to access your iCloud calendar or contacts on an Android. You’ll need an iPhone or iPad and computer to transfer the data.

On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings.

Tap your name.

Tap iCloud.

Toggle on Contacts and Calendars.

You might need to sign in to your iCloud account first if you’re not already.

On your computer, open a web browser, go to and log into your account.

Click the Calendar icon.

On the left pane, click the Share Calendar button next to the calendar that you want to export. In the popup window, select Public Calendar. Click Copy Link, then OK.

Open a new browser tab or window and paste the copied URL.

Change webcal at the beginning of the URL to http and press Enter. Doing so opens a Save File dialog box. Save the file in a folder of your choice. You can rename it too as long as you don’t edit the .ics extension.

Open and login to Google Calendar on your Web browser.

On the left pane of the Google Calendar interface, click the menu arrow at the right of Other Calendars. Click Import Calendar.

Select the exported calendar file that you downloaded from iCloud. You can also choose the destination Google calendar (if you have more than one) in the same dialog.

Click the Import button to upload the file.

Once importing is finished, you should be able to see the imported entries in the Google Calendar web interface and on your Android device.

You can follow a similar process to transfer your contacts from an iPhone to an Android smartphone.

Thinking about switching from iOS to Android, but don’t want to give up your iCloud calendar? You’re going to want to read this.

Android makes it very easy to add nearly any Google service to the platform, but when it comes to adding various other third-party services, such as an iCloud calendar, there really isn’t an easy way of doing it.

If you’re already entrenched in iCloud and sharing calendars with family members and colleagues who are using iOS and/or OS X, switching to Google Calendar may not be the easiest thing to do, for all involved. I’m not saying it isn’t possible, but it won’t be seamless for those who aren’t switching devices. Thankfully, there’s an app that can help make the transition a bit smoother.

SmoothSync for Cloud Calendar is an Android app that can, and will, save iOS users making the switch to Android from the agony of switching where their calendar is stored.

With SmoothSync for Cloud Calendar, you simply log in to your iCloud account, select the calendars you want to sync with your device, and let it do the rest. It’s really that simple. You’ll even get to keep the calendar colors you assigned your various iCloud calendars on your Mac or iOS device.

I did run into some issues with my initial sync, but the developer was easily reached via e-mail and everything was resolved. (Turns out the issue had nothing to do with the app.)

It is known that the calendar is important for us because we use it to record or arrange many future events, no matter the birthday of our relatives or a very significant anniversary. For iOS users, they always have their calendars synced to iCloud. We also use other popular calendar services except iCloud; for example, we may use Google Calendar for work. Sometimes we may want to add our iCloud calendar to Google Calendar for comparison. Then, how?

First of all, we need to import the iCloud calendar to Google Calendar. After that, we can view the iCloud calendar in Google Calendar directly. Here introduce three practical methods to help you add and view the iCloud calendar in Google.

Method 1. View iCloud Calendar in Google by Importing ICS File

Exporting .ics file of the iCloud calendar and adding it to Google Calendar is essential. After that, we can view the iCloud calendar in Google Calendar at any time. This process is indeed easy to do, let’s get the detailed steps.

Method 3. View iCloud Calendar in Google with AnyTrans

AnyTrans is an amazing iOS data management tool, which helps you manage iDevice content, iTunes Library, and iCloud content smartly. In addition, it’s a great transfer tool that supports transferring data among iDevice/computer/iTunes Library.

AnyTrans is also a good exporter that helps you export data from iCloud, iTunes, and iDevice. As for iCloud content, it allows us to export Calendars as CSV (supported by Google Calendar) from iCloud to the computer in a short time. Then we can easily add them to Google Calendar. What’s more, it’s capable of exporting multiple or all calendars from iCloud at once, which was not supported by the other two methods. Next, let’s have a look at the detailed steps.

Step 1. Download and launch AnyTrans > Click iCloud Content and sign in your iCloud account.

  1. You’ll not be allowed to log in your iCloud account on the third party software with turning on TWO-STEP VERIFICATION, so please turn off it temporarily.
  2. You can also use this method to transfer contacts, photos, notes etc.
  3. After adding iCloud calendar to Google Calendar via these three methods, you can view iCloud calendar in Google Calendar at any time.

The Bottom Line

These three methods can help you view iCloud calendar in Google Calendar easily. AnyTrans is worthy of recommendation because it is the one that fulfills your needs and gives you more convenience. Such as transfer data between two iCloud accounts, transfer photos, ringtones and more data from computer to iDevice etc. If you want to get more from AnyTrans, download it to have a try.

From apples to oranges. Well, that’s one way to put it. It seems that a growing number of iPhone users are jumping ship and going with Android. Switching to a new platform can be a breath of fresh air for some, but a majority of iPhone users are finding the transition to be more complicated than expected. Why?

iCloud is a key feature for iPhone users. It keeps emails, contacts, calendars and photos synced across Apple devices. Most people think this popular feature isn’t available for Android users. The good news is that’s not true.

Read on to learn five simple ways to access iCloud using your Android device.
