Hawkeyes land former commit, 5-star lineman Kadyn Proctor in transfer portal

Kadyn Proctor, who committed to the Hawkeyes in 2022, is transferring to Iowa from Alabama. 247Sports’ David Eickholt reports that Proctor wanted to return to his home state, where he won a state title at Southeast Polk.

Proctor, who started every game for Alabama in 2023 at offensive tackle, flipped his commitment in December 2022. He was the highest-graded offensive lineman to come out of the state by 247Sports.

Iowa’s offensive line gets an immediate upgrade. Proctor, a true sophomore, will likely start at one of the tackle spots in 2024. One of the all-time great high school recruits makes a homecoming.
