CERVERA, KOMPAS.com - Ahli fisioterapi dan osteopati asal Spanyol, Dr. Ruben Garcia Ruiz berspekulasi ada yang tidak beres dengan penyembuhan cedera Marc Marquez. Karena itu Marc setidaknya akan absen sampai Oktober mendatang.
Seperti diketahui Marquez harus melakukan operasi sebanyak dua karena pelat penopang tanganya patah. Ruben menyebut, operasi kedua tampaknya kurang berhasil sehingga Marc harus kembali menjalani penyembuhan yang cukup lama.
“Saya memiliki hipotesis yang lebih, operasi kedua mungkin tidak berjalan sebaik yang diinginkan. Akibat semua tekanan yang dialami sebelumnya, membuat tulang tidak mudah untuk memposisikan ulang semuanya dalam kondisi yang benar,” kata ujar Dr. Ruiz kepada MotoRaceNation, mengutip Tuttomotoriweb, Senin (7/9/2020).
Dr. Ruiz berpendapat waktu penyembuhan Marc bakal membutuhkan waktu lama. Dia menyarankan Marc istirahat setidaknya sampai musim depan. Sehingga rencana dia kembali balapan pada Oktober sebetulnya kurang tepat.
“Marquez akan kesulitan memulihkan sikunya. Bahkan jika mereka (Honda) mengizinkan dia untuk menguji prototipe 2021 sebelum akhir musim, saya pikir dia harus menolak, agar punya waktu untuk sembuh," katanya.
"Jika ada sendi penting bagi pebalap motor maka itu adalah siku, karena semua kekuatan yang dibutuhkan untuk membawa motor ada di sana," kata Dr Ruiz.
Marc pertama kali melakukan operasi pada Selasa (21/7/2020) dipimpin oleh Dr Xavier Mir dan tim karena high side di Jerez. Selang sepekan dia mencoba balapan lagi dengan ikut turun latihan tapi akhirnya berhenti karena kesakitan sebelum kualifikasi.

Setelah itu Marc mulai penyembuhan dan dia rajin posting bahwa kondisinya membaik. Dia bahkan sudah angkat beban ringan. Tapi tak lama tangannya harus kembali dioperasi. Pelat penyambungnya rusak karena salah buka pintu.
Marc terpaksa kembali masuk ruang operasi kedua kali pada Senin (3/8/2020). Tim dokter kemudian mengganti pelat titanium yang berada di lengan kanannya karena patah.
Marc kemudian memutuskan untuk menjalani penyembuhan total sebelum kembali balapan. Tapi seolah membantah hal itu, pada Minggu (6/9/2020), Marc menggunggah foto sedang asik bermain dengan anjingnya.
